Vegetarians are better catered for than ever before, but still many restaurant menus can leave them feeling like culinary Cinderellas. Those longing for a touch of haute cuisine should make a note of the new Gastronomique Garden menu from Morgan Meunier, head chef at Admiralty. It's a set menu and, at £37, not cheap but there are five courses and each one sounds tempting enough to convert even confirmed carnivores: steamed asparagus gnocchi, morels and Vin Jaune veloute; braised Puy lentils, poelee of artichokes, glazed button onions with sauce Soubise are just two of the featured courses. The regular a la carte is always available for those who need their fix of meat.
