It has dodgy decor and rude waiters but it's absolutely proper Spanish food. Eleven of us had everything on the tapas menu, plus we all picked another favourite and there was loads of wine for £30 a head. I'd go tapas every time because it's such a sociable way of eating.

An organic cafè and the food is lovely - everything you'd get in a normal restaurant, though I tried to get Diet Coke and they wouldn't let me. They're a bit over-the-top on the whole organic thing, but it's worthwhile. The steak is lovely.

Stunning venue, stunning food, stunning service and the view reminds you how beautiful London is. It's not the sort of place I could afford to eat all the time, but I think the staff are fully aware that most people go as a treat and they look after you really well.

My local pub with a massive log fire, which is really cosy in the winter. And the food is lovely. They do a really good pumpkin risotto - that's my favourite.

This is my pikey choice. It's an American diner, a silver box with booths. I used to live in New York and they do the proper Yankee breakfasts with bacon and scrambled eggs.
