BOOK IT: Don Ceviche

It seems 2012 is all about Peru when it comes to food — we've seen the launch of restaurants Ceviche and Lima,pop-ups like The Last Days of Pisco in Dalston and 'streateries' like Luardos in Whitecross Street.

Next to jump the Peruvian foodie bandwagon is Don Ceviche, who'll be serving their South American fare to hungry punters in Farringdon for just three nights next month.

From October 3-5, Don Ceviche's organisers Tom Thornton and Harry Edmeades will be dishing out authentic ceviche and other Peruvian favourites at The Art Cellar (under the Holborn arches on Farringdon Street).

On the menu will be an array of traditional dishes from the Bienvenido a Lima — king prawn ceviche with mango, red onion, papaya ribbons and habanero chilli and the seared beef Japeru with spicy salad, peanuts, sesame oil and coriander dressing, to the Chimbote — marinated carrots and cucumbers, red onion, chilaca chillis and cilantro.

As well as having a little taste of Lima, The Art Cellar will be exhibiting work by upcoming artists on all three evenings, and will see Wild Thexton serving canapés, The Rum Runner mixing cocktails and Errol Linton’s Blues Band providing the music.

Tickets are £9, which includes a free glass of wine. Book now — this is sure to be a hot ticket.
