Matters got worse when, within months, Marco stood down as the director of Mirabelle claiming other work commitments left him too pushed for time. Even though he still owned (and still does) half of Mirabelle with his Lebanese business partner Jimmy Lahoud, tongues wagged. Everything then quietened down for a while but now, after a few relatively quite years - bar a bust up with Michael Caine, Tony Allen of Fish!, Oliver Peyton, The New York Times, Albert Roux, Damien Hirst and an aborted attempt to buy the Stork Club from notorious businessman Oscar Owide - the rumours have started again. This time, apparently, the Criterion, the Belvedere and Quo Vadis, all belonging to the MPW group, are up for sale.
