Jazz Cafe turns 25: Grandmaster Flash to DJ at venue's birthday bash

Tickets are now on sale for the Jazz Cafe’s 25th birthday party.

The legendary Camden venue, which in the past has hosted performances from Amy Winehouse, D’Angelo and Bobby Womack, first opened its doors in 1990.

There have been a series of celebratory gigs so far this year, but details of the official birthday bash on October 29 have now been released.

Mica Paris, Linda Lewis, Heather Peace, Roachford, Christopher Ellis and Terri Walker will deliver a night of jazz, soul and R&B. Each artist will be joined on stage by The Reel Deal Band, who will be house band for the evening.

Iconic hip-hop DJ Grandmaster Flash will take over for the after party, aided by a yet-to-be-announced special guest, and the whole evening will be hosted by comedy-funk-soul act The Cuban Brothers.
