In the run up to judgement day, Walkers has been encouraging snackers to vote for their favourite online - but fans have not taken to the news lightly.
Panic quickly spread over Twitter as users expressed outrage over the ‘heartless’ and ‘cruel’ campaign.
Some users even threatened to boycott Walkers if their favourite flavour is the one to go.
Walkers has said that the winner of each battle will be judged on the amount of single packs bought and an online vote - with fans being warned that if they want to see salt and vinegar survive the face-off, they’ll have to start stocking up now.
Once the decision has been revealed, Walkers has revealed that it will discontinue the losing flavours forever.
While it’s unlikely that a core flavour will get the boot, if the last few years of political voting have taught us anything, it’s that nothing is safe - especially when it comes to a nationwide poll.
So if you think that you can’t face your next hangover without a packet of salt and vinegar crisps to pull you through the hard times, you better get your vote in now.
