Eggs-travagant creation: Claridge’s reveals 2015 Easter egg inspired by its Art Deco lobby
Spring has finally sprung in the capital and iconic Mayfair hotel Claridge’s is marking the season’s arrival with the release of its latest Easter egg design.
Taking inspiration from the hotel’s chequered marble lobby, head pastry chef Ross Sneddon created the limited-edition egg with the finest milk, white and dark Valrhona chocolate – which ought to contribute the one tonne of chocolate consumed at Claridge’s each year.
The striking treat – filled with hand-made chocolate quail eggs – has been wrapped in bespoke black and white foil and tied with a big black satin bow.
Nestled in an elegant mint green-coloured box, the egg combines both the hotel’s glamour and Art Deco heritage and can be purchased at McQueens at Claridges.
This fabulous egg will make a great gift for a loved one this Easter Sunday (April 5), but be sure to get yours soon as there are only 100 available.
