‘Dead Fish’ and ‘Spoiled Milk’: would you eat these new Jelly Bean flavours?

If ‘Booger’, ‘Lawn Clippings’, ‘Canned Dog Food’ and ‘Rotten Egg Flavours’ weren’t enough to put you off before, these two may just do the trick. The repulsive jelly beans will form the latest additions to the company's BeanBoozled line, which also includes stomach-churning flavours like 'Stinky Socks’ and ‘Barf’.

BeanBoozled packs were originally launched in 2007 and are designed to let you play a jelly bean-themed Russian Roulette with other willing victims.

Each pack features identical-looking beans that may be a pleasant flavour such as ‘Coconut’ or ‘Buttered Popcorn’ - or something fair more unpleasant like ‘Mouldy Cheese'.

The vice president of marketing for Jelly Belly says: ‘We have some simple criteria. The flavor has to be nasty—has to have a gag factor.

‘Everyone can bring to mind checking an expired milk carton or even pouring a glass of spoiled milk. And the smell of rotting fish is so powerful you almost know what it tastes like.’

If you do decide to play, one thing’s for certain - you’ll want to have a strong drink on hand to wash these down with.
