Candice Brown reinvents the Hot Cross Bun for Easter

Teaming up with online streaming service NOW TV, the famous baker has created a brand new range of the classic Easter treat featuring different recipes for some of our favourite children's TV characters.

In the how-to video, Candice gives a tutorial on making her range of buns, which she has aptly named "Tot Cross Buns."

Her recipes have been inspired by some of TVs most loved kids characters, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Be Cool, Scooby Doo, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Powerpuff Girls.

If you don't fancy making them yourself, the hot cross bun range will be available to buy for one day only at Primrose Bakery in Covent Garden on April 12.

Most of the recipes are based on individual shows.

The "Bun-der-the-sea" delight is inspired by Nicktoons’ SpongeBob SquarePants. Packed with pineapple and topped with a sweet starfish, it refers to the shows character "Patrick."

The "Mystery Bun" relates to Boomerang’s Be Cool, Scooby -Doo, and includes a gooey chocolate, fudge and caramel centre.

A scrumptious, savoury "Ninja Bun" – pepperoni pizza flavoured like the favourite food of Nicktoons’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
