Stephanie Jackson, publishing director at Octopus Publishing Group, said: "Like the ‘sirocco’ wind that blows from the East to the West, Sabrina Ghayour’s brilliant sequel to the extraordinary Persiana takes her signature flavours and ingredients to a new place in what we believe will become a new cookery classic for 2016 and beyond."
Three and a half years ago, Sabrina Ghayour had no intention of cooking professionally, but since she lost her job in marketing, the seasoned home cook and caterer has been hosting supper clubs, pop-ups and classes nonstop.

Ghayour said: “I have learned so much about the way people cook in their own homes and also realised that my style, as a home cook, was one of the key strengths of Persiana. It showed people there were no strict rules to those recipes which gave the user a kind of freedom and confidence in recreating them in their own home without fear of failure.
“Taking all of this on board, Sirocco felt like a natural progression in exploring the flavours made familiar in Persiana but showing people the versatility and multitude of ways in which you can use a handful of cupboard staples to create a myriad of dishes which combine some of the same ingredients with various fresh produce but create completely different results and flavour combinations each time.”
