As local restaurants try to navigate a new normal, one thing’s for sure — we could all do with a drink.

In the spirit of supporting our local plonk specialists, here are four independent wine shops who are on the case, and will deliver straight to your door.

Salon, Brixton

Organic and low-intervention wines by the bottle come highly recommended from this south London hotspot (yes, they deliver to the city’s other three corners). Mixed cases of six bottles range from the cheerily named “fun” (easy drinking, £70), “juicy” (characterful, £90), and “off the charts” (classy, £210).

Quality Wines, Clerkenwell

Clerkenwell’s Quality Chop House has made a laudable pivot to wine delivery in Zones 1 and 2, putting award-winning noses on the job. Minimum order is £100, but new wine lists are carefully researched, sourced and released every day.
