BarChick's cocktail of the week: The Mad Hatter at MASH

This week, BarChick goes in search of a comforting winter cocktail to warm the cockles as snow hits London town
A whiskey cocktail with a kick: the Mad Hatter at MASH

3 February 2015

The drink: The Mad Hatter

What’s in it? Bulleit Bourbon, homemade tea blend, peach, maraschino, hibiscus, vanilla, ginger and lemon.

Where do we get it? This grand steakhouse hidden below the hustle of Brewer Street might not be the first place you think to head for innovative cocktails, but with a new menu on the cards (literally, the menu is on vintage postcards), MASH has upped its cocktail game. The decor is up there with the best, too, with plush leather booths, a wine wall, prime cuts of matured beef hanging on display and an awesome island bar. Whether impressive client lunches, romantic date nights or fun after-work drinks are your thing, MASH has it covered.

Who do we ask for? Renaud is the man behind these new creations. He loves homemade infusions and experimenting with presentation — try his mushroom-infused booze and wait for your cocktail to come served in a test tube and you’ll know what we mean.

How much is it? £11

Find it: 77 Brewer St, W1F 9ZN, mashsteak.co.uk
