There's intergalactic fun for everyone in the capital.

Space continues to be an irresistible draw: Star Wars and The Martian, both box-office smashes, showed the universe still enthralls. Space has always made good TV: man sent objects to the moon before there were even three channels to watch it on.

The overwhelming never-ending nature of space makes it endlessly fascinating and ideal for families: children and adults can get a kick out of the same unanswered questions which the universe is perpetually proposing.

The gallery above details some of the best space-themed adventures to be had in London. Highlights include iconic tourist spot Madame Tussauds, a bar from one of London’s most popular brewers (maybe leave the children at home for that one?) and an exhibition at the Science Museum which recreates some of what it’s like to be an astronaut. If there’s an aspiring Tim Peake in the family, it’s not to be missed.
