Freeze Festival @ Battersea Power Station
Chilly weather getting you down and Christmas still a bit far off? No fear, the UK’s biggest and baddest snowsports festival is back to remind you why winter really is the best time of year.
This mega-fest is returning to London for its fifth year and promises crowds of 35,000 for two thrilling days of world-class winter sports action, incredible live music and arguably the wildest après ski party on the planet.
Battersea Power Station will be transformed into an international winter sports resort – even better than the real thing! – with the centrepiece being the iconic 32m high and 100m-long snow jump which some of the world’s top skiers and snowboarders will take on aiming for Big Air.
Our home-grown sports stars out for glory include Billy Morgan, the first snowboarder to ever land a triple rodeo (looki t up), 19-year old Jamie Nicholls, one of the UK’s finest young riders, and pro freestyle skier James Woods.
As night falls over the slopes it’s party time and hip-hop trailblazers Public Enemy, legendary DJ superstars Zane Lowe v Mark Ronson, and the epic DJ Shadow will take to a throbbing stage.
It’s an great showcase of serious talent in a fascinating venue and guaranteed to get you praying for snow.
