A series of free summer parties have been announced on Dray Walk, the side street close by the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane.

The series launches in full tomorrow, and will continue each weekend thereafter for the remainder of the summer, or about eight weeks. Each weekend will be free to attend, and will feature food and drinks stalls, live DJs, live art performances, impromptu record fairs and talks from creatives.

The series has been put together by Cafe 1001. Luca Pilato, who manages the Dray Walk venue said of the series: “The launching of the Dray Walk this summer has been a project close to my heart, after working for some time around the area we feel it’s lost its vibrancy that it was once renowned for.

“Our series of events, pop-ups, and activities hope to bring some free fun back to an area that was always a special place. We hope to recapture a bit of the magic that made Brick Lane special and give an experience back to those looking for something different and exciting without having to spend big on tickets or entry fees.”

The parties will run each Saturday and Sunday, beginning at noon and finishing around 10pm.
