Bradley Cooper. Nicki Minaj. Daniel Barenboim. Yoda. All coming to London this spring to entertain us in their unique ways. And they're not the only ones.

London theatres will be packed with stars this season: Imelda Staunton reprises her role in Chichester transfer Gypsy; Damien Lewis does Mamet in American Buffalo; and Kristin Scott Thomas will be stepping into HRH Queen Elizabeth II's – and Helen Mirren's – shoes in The Audience.

Other London stages will welcome veteran soft rockers Fleetwood Mac, veteran comedian Mel Brooks and veteran director Mike Leigh, presenting his first opera, with young bucks Sam Smith and author Jessie Burton bringing the average age down.

We will be watching Avengers: Age of Ultron and Kenneth Branagh's Cinderella, eating South Asian street food and 1970s delicacies, and dancing to tunes spun by superstar DJs Erol Alkan and Sven Vath.

The summer music season kicks off at the end of May with outdoor rave We Are FSTVL, but there are also festivals dedicated to gardens (Chelsea Flower Show), coffee (London Coffee Festival) and myriad other specialist interests. As usual, London caters for everyone.
