The Apprentice 2015: Jack Dee to replace Dara Ó Briain on You’re Fired

The comedian will be interviewing the unlucky contestants in the spin-off show

Hired: Jack Dee is hosting The Apprentice: You're Fired in 2015

The new series of The Apprentice hasn’t started yet, but one person has already been hired – comedian Jack Dee, who will be taking over presenting duties on sister-show You’re Fired.

Previously hosted by Dara Ó Briain, who took over from Adrian Chiles in 2010, the show features behind-the-scenes footage, discussion about the latest episode from a panel of comedians, celebrities and fans, and an interview with the most recently fired contestant.

Commenting on his new role, Dee said: "I'm very much looking forward to hosting You're Fired and hope that the luckless candidates will see me as the friendly face at the end of a difficult time in their lives."

Fellow comedian Romesh Ranganathan – a self-confessed “massive fan” of Lord Sugar’s business reality show – will also feature regularly in the new series of You’re Fired as a panellist.

"I love You're Fired and am looking forward to putting all the questions to the candidates that people at home want to see asked,” Ranganathan said. “I also have a number of business proposals of my own that I think Lord Sugar will be pretty interested in…"

Jack Dee’s appointment isn’t the only change for the new series – Nick Hewer stepped down as one of Lord Sugar’s aides at the end of the 2014 series, and has been replaced by Claude Littner, the terrifying interviewer who appears annually in The Apprentice’s most feared task.
