Strictly Come Dancing final 2015: Kellie Bright scores full marks for her show dance and tango

EastEnders actress Kellie Bright has topped the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard in the final after scoring full marks for both of her dances.

Bright received her best scores so far in the competition, initially wowing the judges with her Tango to The Kinks’ classic hit You Really Got Me.

While that was rapturously received by the judges, who awarded her 10 points each, it was Bright’s show dance with partner Kevin Clifton that cemented her as the night’s top performer.

The Charlston-inspired routine to quirky tune Ding Dong Daddy from Dumas received huge applause from the studio audience and praise from the judges.

Craig Revell-Horwood said it was “a-ma-zing”, while Darcey Bussell called it “extraordinary”.

Naming Bright “the belle of the ball”, Len Goodman said “that’s a show dance”.

Bruno Tonioli hinted at Bright as a frontrunner to take the top prize after the viewer vote, saying: “that’s how a champion wins”.

However, it will be up to the voting public to make that happen – in the final, the judges’ scores are purely for guidance, and the entire winner is purely decided by viewers.
