'We're living in a world where we are being told stories all the time by a media that is often untrustworthy,' he says. 'The play is interested in the question of who tells who a story and how those stories get told.'
For Kaufman and Grindley, though, their greatest sympathy lies with the desire of both anonymous narrators to revisit their pasts. 'You get to your mid-thirties and realise it's not the promised land,' Grindley says.
'In Some Girl(s) you can see why the narrator is revisiting his old life in order to alter the outcome of things. The desire to go back and change course is something we can all understand.'
