Laughs a plenty, but not a sniff of nudity

There is more camp at the Edinburgh Fringe in Debbie Does Dallas, a famous 1970s porn flick that has inspired a wonderfully silly spoof musical by Susan L Schwartz, first performed Off-Broadway in 2002.

We follow virginal cheerleader Debbie as she realises her childhood ambition to work for the Dallas Cowboys and learn just how far she will go to fulfil her dream. Worry not, there's no nudity on stage, though; at every point where in the film there would be a sex scene, it's replaced by a song-and-dance number.

The songs, while not memorable, are very funny, there are heaps of smutty jokes and it's superbly performed by an enthusiastic cast. This is an American Carry On and I can offer no higher praise than that.
