The Royal Opera House’s longest-running production will be broadcast live tonight (June 10) to BP Big Screens across the country and 1,500 cinemas worldwide in one of the last chances to see it.
British director John Copley’s 1974 production of Puccini’s La bohème is on its final outing and Joseph Calleja, the Maltese tenor, and Russian soprano Anna Netrebko will take the lead roles of Rodolfo and Mimi for tonight’s performance which will be relayed from Covent Garden to BP Big Screens at sites including Trafalgar Square, Canary Wharf, Hammersmith and Woolwich.
The last performance will be on July 16, with Piotr Beczala and Lianna Haroutounian starring and Placido Domingo conducting.
