Much like Brass Eye, Blue Jam (which briefly turned up on Channel 4 as well as Radio 1) featured a range of stomach-churning sketches that might be compared to the League Of Gentlemen if they weren't far more nightmarish than anything that much-praised troupe have come up with. Take the skit showing a group of TV executives snorting cocaine and enjoying a pornographic version of Teletubbies, for example. Or the one about the lazy suicidal man who, not prepared to take the effort to climb to the top of a tall building in order to leap to his death, contents himself with jumping from the first floor several times to achieve his aim. Really, truly strange.
