There are many strings to Margaret Dygas's bow. She's got a reputation as a queen of vinyl, held down a residency at Berlin's Panorama Bar and remains a power player of the underground music industry.

This summer, Dygas appeared at new UK festival Hide and Seek in Manchester, as well as delivering a memorable set at Gottwood festival in Wales, playing by the lake on the impressive Curve stage with light projections erupting behind her. Her minimal and groovy set went perfectly against the stunning backdrop.

Head to Phonox in Brixton on Friday night. It's a safe haven for London clubbers, with rules that include "be nice to those around you". Also, there's something winning about its simplicity: a single dance floor paired with a powerful Funktion-One sound system.

Friday September 6, 418 Brixton Road, SW9 7AY, phonox.co.uk
