Meanwhile Latin-influenced American band Calexico are onto their ninth album, The Thread That Keeps Us, today. The newest song to get a video online, Under the Wheels, adds some reggae to their wide-ranging sound.

While Damon Albarn tours the arenas with Gorillaz, his Blur bandmate Graham Coxon has been busy writing a film soundtrack. His music for The End of the F***ing World, including the cute acoustic ditty Walking All Day, is released today.

After another big hit with Sun Comes Up, dance band Rudimental’s next one looks set to be another highly popular one on paper. These Days features big-selling guest vocalists Jess Glynne and Macklemore and abandons their old drum and bass style for a slower gospel feel.
