After a long period of silence, Bon Iver announced his new album by playing it in full at his own Eaux Claires music festival, then putting two new songs on YouTube. They’ve all got titles that will test your knowledge of keyboard shortcut symbols to the limit, so just search for the band name.

Songwriter to the stars Ryan Tedder is back making his own stuff with his band OneRepublic. Kids, presumably from a fourth album to be announced soon, is a typically catchy number streaming everywhere now.

As ever with a Baz Luhrmann project, the director’s new Netflix series, The Get Down, does not stint on the soundtrack. Released on Apple Music at the same time as the show begins, it features Zayn, Michael Kiwanuka, Christina Aguilera and Janelle Monáe tapping into the Seventies New York vibe.
