Culture | FilmSlithering to successDerek Malcolm|Evening Standard10 April 2012I'm not surprised that James Gunn, writer and director of this horror parody, once worked with Lloyd Kaufman and his famously C-movie Troma team on films such as Tromio and Juliet, which made Shakespeare sound like Jeffrey ArcherSlither has nasty-looking worms entering the mouths of some of the more idiotic inhabitants of small-town America and turning them into pustule-covered slimeballs.Quite funny at times, though not as enthusiastically silly as Shaun of the Dead, the best British example of the genre.Even so, it'll probably make a mint on these shores.Slither Cert: 15MORE ABOUTMint
