Alas and alack, Demi Moore's venture into British film-making is an absurd ghost story-cum-thriller that resembles an elongated quota quickie from the Fifties.

She appears as a successful novelist, with a £4 million advance, who travels to Scotland after the death of her son.

When there, she imagines she sees him, and then falls in love with a lighthouse keeper who could be another ghost.

The screenplay is impoverished, the plot totally unbelievable and poor Demi seems cast adrift in a real clunker. The scenery, however, is nice.
