No model behaviour from actress Emily

Supermodel Sophie Anderton was called a "bitch" during a row with actress Emily Lloyd at a celebrity party which ended with one of them on the floor and both soaked in champagne.

The flare-up happened in view of scores of famous guests, including members of boybands Westlife, Damage and 5ive, Peter Stringfellow and Boy George, at the party at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel to celebrate the London Club and Bar Awards.

Eyewitnesses said 32-year-old Miss Lloyd - star of Wish You Were Here? and A River Runs Through It - initially fell out with former Wonderbra model Miss Anderton, 24, because of her habit of continually text-messaging her latest celebrity amour, Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Bosnich, during the meal.

The row escalated when Miss Anderton wouldn't let Miss Lloyd squeeze past her chair to chat to her friend and host Jake Panaytou, owner of the Wellington Club. When the model refused to budge, the actress called her "a bitch", after which there was a verbal exchange which somehow ended with Miss Lloyd on the floor. Earlier, another reveller at the table had tried to cool things down by spraying everyone with champagne - "Formula One-style". Mr Panaytou, a close friend of both women, said: "It was just down to two girls with two big egos. I love them both to death, but they can be a real handful."

Miss Anderton left the party early, returning to her Knightsbridge flat. Security staff said Miss Lloyd was the "last person to leave".

Earlier in the evening, during which complimentary drinks were provided, both women acted like old friends and posed arm-in-arm.
