Monster fine for King Kong

Film director Peter Jackson must pay a personal fine of millions of dollars for going massively over budget on King Kong.

Jackson, whose triumphs include the Lord of the Rings trilogy, included £18 million of special effects.

But chairman of Universal Pictures, Stacey Snider, said: "It's a brilliant movie."
