London's top 10 locations

Whenever a movie was set in London, there was always a drive-by of the city's sights: Trafalgar Square, Big Ben and Buck House. Not any more though. Not any more though. Here are the current top ten location shots in London...

1. BA London Eye, Lambeth
The League of Gentlemen's Apocalypse (released earlier this year); The Apprentice (recent BBC2 series, with Alan Sugar).

2. Battersea Park, Wandsworth
Click (fantasy drama about an architect who finds a device to rewind or fast-forward his life, with Adam Sandler and Kate Beckinsale, due out next year); Stoned (biopic of Rolling Stone Brian Jones, premiering at Edinburgh Film Festival on 19 August).

3. Millennium Bridge, Corporation of London
Dirty Filthy Love (romantic comedy about an obsessive compulsive, released last autumn); Spooks (fourth of BBC1 series, not yet broadcast).

4. Potters Field Park, Southwark
Dr Who (first BBC1 series); Little Britain (second BBC1/BBC3 series).

5. Bethnal Green Town Hall, Tower Hamlets
Revolver (Guy Ritchie's gangland thriller, released 22 September); Breaking and Entering (Anthony Minghella's drama about a young thief, with Jude Law and Juliette Binoche, still filming on location in London).

6. Island Business Centre, Greenwich
Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee Hee (BBC1 adaptation of Meera Syal's novel); Spooks (as before); MIT (ITV drama).

7. Kingsland School, Hackney
Murder City (ITV crime series, with Amanda Donohoe); Ahead of the Class (one-off ITV drama, with Julie Walters).

8. Crystal Palace Park, Bromley
Peep Show (C4 comedy series, with Robert Webb and David Mitchell).

9. Building 1000, Newham
Goal (tale of a young footballer following his dream, featuring David Beckham, released 30 September); Alien Autopsy (sci-fi comedy with Ant & Dec, now shooting at Ealing); Love and Other Disasters (comedy romance about an American intern at UK Vogue, with Gwyneth Paltrow, Brittany Murphy, Catherine Tate and Orlando Bloom, out next year).

10. Tower Bridge, Corporation of London
Inside Out (drama thriller, written and directed by David Ogden); Back in Business (British adventure, with Brian Blessed, Dennis Waterman and Martin Kemp, to be released next year); Spooks (as before).
