Kid's emission impossible

After years of bad-boy gangster stories and the occasional feel-good comedy, the British Film breaks new ground with Thunderpants, the story of a fat boy who farts too much and his best mate, a child-genius rocket scientist. The rest is Emission Impossible.

Despite the considerable charm of child actor Rupert Grint (Ron from Harry Potter) this is a movie of relentless silliness and an inexplicable number of green Minis (manic product placement or a very in-joke?). When the fat boy blasts into space it's a small step for schoolboy humour and a giant leap backwards for the British film industry.
