In the same way that journalists may not want to interview a celebrity because you don't care for him or her, there are films I don't care for so I say no to them. I was just offered Chicago, for example. But I don't want to make Chicago. So if I decide to make a film like Domestic Disturbance, I have to trust that the studio will support the film. If they don't put money into advertisements, and I go out and talk about it, then it's just a test in futility. But if I know they love the movie too, that's fine. If I go home after today and see the ad on television or see a billboard, I know that the studio is doing its job.
