Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back

Jay and Bob, as everyone who's cool knows, are the two guys who we first saw in Kevin Smith's film Clerks.

They were from New Jersey - hip and uninhibited. Irreverent is the word parents use for them. They sold dope outside the store and everybody dug them so much that they went on to appear, as themselves, in productions such as Dogma and Mallrats.

This time their old friend, Banky Edwards (Jason Lee), has sold them out by going to Hollywood to produce a picture for Miramax based on the comic book about their alter egos, Bluntman & Chronic, starring two popular young Hollywood actors, played by Jason Biggs and James Van Der Beek. This sets Jay and Bob off on a mad trip from Jersey to California, to save their 'reputations' and get even with Hollywood.

I play a very myopic chick with big, nerdy, Clark Kent glasses who sets them on the road to even bigger trouble. Kevin let me create the character. Her name is Justice and Justice is obviously blonde, so I went blonde with bangs. She's smart and she's with three other girls who are diamond thieves posing as animal-rights activists. Seann William Scott, American Pie's Stifler, is our patsy. We want to set him up to take the fall when we do our heist. But eventually the guys all become our patsies.

This is really a hip road movie with some of the most amazing stunts you will have seen. It got stacks of people who play themselves - such as Shannen Doherty and Wes Craven - and a huge ensemble including Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Chris Rock, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill. Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith again play Jay and Bob (below with Carrie Fisher), of course, just for laughs.
