When she's not acting, she likes to paint. "My mother, Frances, is an artist and I've always loved to draw. When I left school I decided to go to art college but I met a girl who was training to be an actress. She was having classes with an American called Tony Greco, and I went along to see if I was any good. Tony was fantastic. He did lots of Method acting with us. He'd be scarily direct and would say, 'You're no good. Go and try something else.'" What did he say to her? "He said, 'You'll do'," she says, mimicking his accent.
