Heroes in a half shell

A re-issue of the all-over-the-place movie about the absurd antics of the eponymous comicbook "heroes in a half shell", this kung-fu kick-fest with silly costumes ought to be a complete waste of time.

But the script is genuinely subversive and it contains some very funny allusions to 1980s pop culture.

Check out a very young Sam Rockwell in a small role, but whatever happened to the funny jibe at The Karate Kid which has disappeared in this revived print? Perhaps it was past its shell-by date.
