Having fun with a good scare

My scene is a spoof of The Exorcist. I watched the film many times in preparation - it's excellent and not just as a horror movie. It hits a wide number of targets - and that's probably why it's so scary.

I got to film with Marlon Brando for four hours before he dropped out of Scary Movie 2. I never believed it would happen, but it did.

It was raw, heaven and bliss. We did the scene where I'm Linda Blair saying, "F*** me, f*** me" and his improvisation was to touch my left breast. His earpiece wasn't working so he just held it until he remembered his line!

And then James Woods arrived to replace him. Marlon Brando was wheezing a lot and really very sick when he was filming. And James Woods was amazing. You have to respect a man who can really maximise his own potential. He's a man unto himself.

I have only good things to say about James Woods, because I think it takes balls to come in and say, "OK, I don't want to hear about Brando. I'm going to do this my way. It's my job now." He really did make it his own.

One day there was a man with a nurse and an oxygen tank, the next day there was a real actor who could get shot in the face with vomit without any worry of physical harm, who could act without an earpiece. Weird details. They're both acting juggernauts, but there was no comparison.

My biggest problem was with the prosthetic tongue. The first one they gave me was too big. It kept falling out of my mouth. In the end, they had to get Linda Blair's original from The Exorcist, and they put it on the tip of my tongue using denture glue.
