Naomi Watts has signed on to star in the new Luc Besson movie in a role originally intended for Kate Beckinsale, says the Hollywood Reporter. The English-born actress will take the title role in Daisy Scarlet, the tale of a dashing MI6 agent embroiled in a plot involving dead celebrities and a trade in vital organs.

Pop superstar Madonna has reportedly bought the film rights to a controversial expose of the fashion world. Her film company Maverick Films has already started casting a group of up and coming models to play the likes of Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford in the film of Model: The Ugly Business of Beautiful Women.

Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo are about to star in If Only it Were True, a supernatural love story along the lines of 1990's Ghost. Directed by Mark Waters and backed by DreamWorks, the film will star Ruffalo as the lovelorn new tenant of an apartment haunted by the spirit of the woman who previously lived there.
