Film Flash! Matt gets the Love Bug

Matt Dillon's career continues to make some twisty turns: the former heart-throb is set to play the heavy in the Walt Disney Co.'s Herbie: Fully Loaded, opposite Lindsay Lohan and Michael Keaton. In the revamped franchise, which sets the VW Beetle in the world of NASCAR, Dillon takes the role of Trip, the bad boy of the racing circuit.

Strong jawed British beauty Keira Knightley is to take the role of a bounty hunter in Tony Scott's upcoming Domino. In the real-life story, Knightley plays Domino Harvey, daughter of actor Laurence Harvey, who ditched a career as a model to become a hunter.

More Brit chicks: Rachel Weisz has landed a plum role opposite Hugh Jackman in The Fountain. Directed by Darren Aranofsky, the sci-fi movie is shrouded in secrecy, but the Hollywood Reporter reveal it follows 'one man's journey in the present as well as 500 years into the past and future, while dealing with the themes of love, death and immortality.' Oooohh.

Dannii Minogue's ex-hubby, Nip/Tuck star Julian McMahon has joined the cast of Fantastic Four. The Aussie hunk will play Dr. Doom and will star alongside cast members Michael Chiklis, Ioan Gruffud, Jessica Alba and Chris Evans (no, not that one) in the comic book actioner.

Mulholland Dr. beauty Laura Harring has replaced Daryl Hannah in flick The King. Starring alongside the wondrous Gael Garcia Bernal , the story centres on 21-year-old just out of the Navy who tracks down the father he never knew.
