Happy Family USA moves from big city to run-down isolated mansion, where the former owner turns out to be a) omnipresent and b) a loony. Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone go through the motions as wholesome parents while Stephen Dorff displays the rictus grin of a man about to murder either his neighbours or his agent. The story, meanwhile, is so silly it should have been slaughtered.
