ET with an Elvis touch

A slyly destructive little extra terrestrial by the name of Stitch, from a distant galaxy, lands in a Hawaiian resort and seeks refuge with a lonely little girl called Lilo and her guardian, who are having the heat turned up on them by a nosey social worker.

Well, everybody needs love - and everybody needs a family. Disney's new animated feature has a pearly look, thanks to the watercolour backgrounds composing it. Elvis Presley songs are spliced into the music tracks. It may not serve up so portentous a helping as ET, but it provides a useful children's portion for that awkward age group of film-goers, the five-toeightyear-olds.
