'Bond Boy' to hit the big screen

The adventures of teenage spy Alex Rider are to be made into a film.

Anthony Horowitz's stories about the 14-year-old agent have sold more than 2million copies and are credited with getting more boys to read.

Now the hunt is on for a young actor to take on the most coveted silver screen role since Harry Potter.

Horowitz, 50, said: 'Ideally, it will be a British boy.'
