A daring experiment

An intriguing and daring experiment: three films dealing with the same set of characters and overall dramatic location which has an interlocking narrative told not just from different perspectives but, more fundamentally, in different genre styles.

The first is a thriller, the second a comedy and the third a melodrama. This week's opener is the thriller, which has an escaped prisoner struggling to adjust to the changes in the outside world following 15 years of incarceration.
