The dos and don'ts of wife swapping

Married couple Mike and Vanessa's sex life is stuck in a rut: he wants her to dress more like Abi Titmuss and get frisky in Tesco's car park; she'd rather watch old black and white films. However, when they see a documentary about swinging, Mike manages to persuade Vanessa that a bit of wife-swapping might spice up their marriage.

Written by and starring stand-up Barry Castagnola and actress Martha Howe-Douglas, Swingers is a sharply observed unromantic comedy that mixes live action with pre-recorded video sequences.

Armed with an arsenal of wigs, the pair play a range of hilarious archetypes, from scary German porn stars to professional swingers.

Innumerable comic moments include them watching a DVD on the dos and don'ts of hosting your own swapping party, before finally taking the plunge.

A hugely entertaining and intelligent piece that should arouse the interest of the BBC's comedy unit.
