She selected 15 people working on the TfL network from Brixton station and the Victoria line, including train drivers, customer service staff and cleaners.
They were then individually painted in her studio to create a large-scale group portrait.
With more than 30 million journeys made through Brixton station each year, the commission will be seen by an audience greater than the National Gallery.
The mural is part of Art on the Underground an artistic project sponsored by TfL. It will be on view until September 16.
