Plans progress for new homes in Wood Green as part of redevelopment plan

Plans for a new redevelopment in north London that would see part of a former BHS store become homes, have moved a step closer after a land purchase deal was agreed.

The Lazari group of companies, a family-run property development and investment business that has sites across north London and the West End, is planning to invest £75 million to create a project at 22-42 High Road Wood Green.

It will comprise 197 homes, of which 40% will be affordable, a Premier Inn hotel, 35,000 square feet of retail space, and 5000 square feet of workspace for SMEs.

Most of the existing site is currently shops, retail storage space, and a court yard with car parking spaces.

Nick Lazari of Lazari Investments said: “The vision is promoting local business. In fact, my family come from the area and Lazari Developments started there so we want to put something back into the community.”
