Director-general Stephen Martin, speaking at the IoD’s Open House event, also defended the body’s “full and fair” investigation “in which everyone had the opportunity to be heard, including those accused of wrongdoing”. He added that the institute suffered a “governance challenge” which “will in the long run make us stronger, and better able to advise others… I promise you that this will result in a better IoD.”
