BusinessStart-up Commonplace secures new funding to expandMike Saunders and David Janner-Klausner are the co-founders of CommonplaceBy Liz OrtonJoanna Hodgson29 July 2020A start-up that provides tech allowing property developers and councils to collect community feedback on developments in their local area, has secured new venture capital funding to double staff numbers in London.Aldgate-based Commonplace, which allows people to view and comment on everything from new planned buildings to cycle lanes, has raised £3 million from London-based investor Beringea.That funding will be used to expand the six-year-old business.It has 20 staff in the capital and expects to boost that to 40 in the next 12 months.
