Concert tickets seller Live Nation has signed a lease for a new London HQ in a move that doubles its size in the capital, the Evening Standard can reveal.

Property sources said a long lease of nearly 20 years has been committed to, helping to calm concerns that Brexit is deterring companies from securing new head offices here.

Live Nation expects to relocate to its new home, which is undergoing a large refurbishment by landlord Aberdeen Standard Investments, in 2020. The Victorian warehouse has been used as a location for a variety of high profile films, including The Dark Knight.

The firm will move from space totalling 28,000 square feet at properties on Argyll Street and Bow Street.

Denis Desmond, chairman of Live Nation UK and Ireland, said: “The Farmiloe building is the perfect HQ and has the capacity to cater for our future expansion.”

Ron Urquhart at Aberdeen Standard Investments called Farringdon, which will soon get a new Crossrail station, “one of the most exciting and sought after parts of London for occupiers”.

Property agents Glinsman Weller, JLL and BNP Paribas Real Estate, advised on the deal.
