This is “one of the main reasons I want to do it”, said Trost, “but it’s early days yet”.
“When you talk to people about IPOs there are around 50 things everybody wants you to do because that’s the way everybody’s done them before. Maybe it’s like getting married,” he added.
The company — 16% owned by Trost with others major shareholders including Deutsche Telekom and Passion Capital — made profits of £5 million last year and could fetch a hefty valuation based on rival Betfair, which trades on a multiple of around 40 times earnings.
