Boost for London office market as Calvin Klein owner inks pre-let for new UK HQ in White City

London’s office market has secured a big vote of confidence, with the firm behind world-famous fashion brands Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger agreeing a new UK HQ deal.

New York-headquartered PVH Corp has signed a pre-let to take space at a White City building that construction will complete on in 2023.

Its commitment comes at a time when there is much debate around how office demand will look post-pandemic. Following a year where many people have done their jobs remotely, many firms are expected to embrace a mix of home and office working in the future.

PVH Corp will relocate from around 40,000 square feet currently to take 50,000 square feet at the 1 Wood Crescent property.

The nine storey building will have 111,765 square feet of prime office space in total.

Designed by architects Morris + Company, construction of 1 Wood Crescent is scheduled to start immediately and be completed in early 2023 by construction company Laing O’Rourke.

The landlord is a consortium comprising developer Stanhope and investors Mitsui Fudosan and AIMCo , which has been undertaking a major redevelopment of the Television Centre site.

Jonathan Trout, property and commercial director at Stanhope, said: “Television Centre has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years and PVH’s presence will help build on the continued success of the site and further enhance its already vibrant atmosphere.”
